3． Test Format
BCT (listening• reading)
BCT (listening• reading) test paper includes listening and reading sections. The test materials include the test paper and answer sheet. Your answers must be marked on the answer sheet. Please clearly fill in only the letter for your answer on the multiple-choice answer sheet. Here is an example: [A][■][C][D]. Please don’t mark like this: [√] [×] [╲] [▂] [▔] [О] [•]. Please erase cleanly in case of any modification. Please fill in your answer clearly on the lines provided on the answer sheet for “Filling in the Blanks or Concisely Replying.”

BCT (speaking• writing)
BCT (speaking• writing) consists of a speaking test and a writing test.
The speaking test includes two questions of different difficulties and types. A recording will be used and the specific process is as follows:
(1)The examinees listen to the recording while browsing through the questions.
(2)The examiner asks several warm-up questions in the recording and the examinees answer.
(3)The examiner provides contents and requirements for each question.
(4)Examinees make preparations.
(5)After the conclusion of the preparation time, the examinee will hear a segment of a situational recording related to the question and give answers after the recording.
(6)There’s a chime 10-15 s before the end of each question.
The writing test has two questions and the contents include business activities along with daily life and social activities related with business. The materials for writing include the test paper and answer sheet. The examinees shall write the answer on the answer sheet in Chinese characters.
There are a total of 50 questions. The allotted time for this section is 40 minutes. The listening test paper has four parts. Part I and Part III are multiple-choice questions and Part IV is fill-in-the-blank questions. The recording transcript will be played only once.

There are a total of two questions in the writing test. The contents include business activities and daily life and social activities related with business. Relevant materials are provided in the form of text and charts. The style shall be letter, short expository or narrative text.
Requirements on length:80—120 characters for Question 1 and 250 characters for Question 2.
